Understanding Anxiety: A Three Part Series for Parents of Years 5-8 with Psychologist, Tracy Hart.
Anxiety can sometimes be confusing and overwhelming - for children, teenagers and the adults supporting them. This three-part series is designed to help parents better understand anxiety, respond in supportive and psychologically informed ways, and care for themselves while supporting their child.
Part 1 – Understanding Anxiety: Even when we know a lot about anxiety, gaining a clearer understanding of what may sit underneath anxious behaviour, helps us respond in helpful ways.
Part 2 – Helpful Responding: This session explores common patterns that can unintentionally maintain anxiety, alongside practical approaches that strengthen brave behaviour and resilience.
Part 3 – Looking After Ourselves: Supporting an anxious child can be emotionally demanding. This session focuses on the wellbeing of caregivers themselves.
This series is psycho-educational in nature and is not a substitute for clinical care.
